SLAP Quarter Finals
@ SLAP Live #19 channel

After a rather ordinary group stage yesterday with no real shocks or upsets we now come to the business end of the tournament.

With just 8 teams left in the upper bracket we are likely to see some epic matches, featuring the likes of The Imperial, mTw, vitriolic, fnatic and dignitas. Here is a preview of what we have to look forward to.

Dignitas vs. Derailed

connect 193.138.115.165:27010

This match should be a the first proper challenge this new dignitas team will have faced at the event, and a chance for them to prove their first seed was deserved. Derailed on the other hand are on a bit of a high and trying to prove they deserved a higher seeding, something underlined by their win over 30p Gaming in the round before this. On inferno as always CT will be key and if Derailed win the knife round who knows what could happen.

This match will be played at 14:45 UK time.

mTw.Mindfactory vs. The Imperial

connect 81.7.159.230:29011

This is a huge match for both teams, mTw were hugely criticised for their meagre showing at The Experience earlier in the year and will want to show that they can perform at LAN. The Imperial - who are somewhat of a mix team at this event - will be chomping at the bit to cement their spot at the #1 team in Denmark and a win over the German cracks coupled with a good showing at this event is certain to do just that.

This match will be played at 14:45 UK time.

fnatic vs. DSRack

connect 81.7.159.230:29012

This will be a huge test for the up and coming DSRack, but if they can perform like they did against Reason gaming in the recent Alienware Invasion cup they are in with a very good shout of winning this clash. Fnatic got here late last night and breezed through their group stage games this morning, they are well and truly ready for this but, as with dignitas, this is the first real challenge they have faced and is certain to be a great match.

This match will be played at 14:45 UK time.

Vitriolic vs. ROCCAT

connect 81.7.159.230:29014

This should be the match to watch at this stage in the tournament, ROCCAT were hugely criticised for their terrible showing at TeX, Vitriolic on the other hand had a perfect event with a 3rd place finish. If rumours are to be believed that Helblinde has infact lost his voice already, then it's certain that the Swedes are up for this tournament and if they play like they did at TeX then they just might take home first place. On the other hand just a few weeks ago ROCCAT changed long standing member Troels 'eXce' Kierulf for up and coming talent Dennis 'rytter' Rytter, bringing fresh blood and enthusiasm into the team could be a master stroke, or a huge mistake, something we will find out after this match up, one thing is for sure and that is if anyone can stop this Vitriolic side, it is the Danes.

This match will be played at 14:45 UK time.
