VeryGames Announce New Team
@ Scene news channel

The CS:S community was shocked by the revelations that VeryGames and their CS:S team, that had dominated European competition, were parting ways. Today the organisation has announced their replacements.

The group of players that were representing redLine were at one point regarded as the best active team in Europe while VeryGames were on hiatus. Now they have a chance to follow in the footsteps of that previous team as the new team.

They will hook up with the remaining VeryGames stalwart, Loic "RegnaM" Peron, with Mickael "spl4sh" Nguyen Van moving to sixth.

The official VeryGames press release said the following regarding the move:

These past weeks have provided us with a perfect opportunity for reflection on our current structure. What should we do after our previous team’s departure? Acquire a new line-up? Look to a new game? End the adventure that is Team VeryGames?

We have received numerous applications from teams and structures interested in working with Team VeryGames. One in particular caught our attention: that of Team redLine. Team redLine was the main rival of the old Team VeryGames during the 2008-2009
season, and is also the best European team right now! In agreement with redLine Hosting, we met the manager, Jérôme ’Niak’ Sudries, and then the players.

We finally agreed to begin a new adventure with this new line-up for a year (or possibly more!), this time with the benefit of the experience gained last season. This new beginning also sees the return to the forefront of a symbolic figure of the Counter-Strike: Source scene, Loic ‘RegnaM’ Peron. Loïc was the only player to be faithful to us during the troubled period in recent weeks. His loyalty was rewarded today.

This season will be an excellent one. It begins in November with MaxLan before the team’s departure for Sweden, to play against the best European teams at the DreamHack Winter event. In our desire to continue to develop the world of electronic sports, our players will obviously be under contract and will once again have the status of professional players. Finally, a big thank you to Gregory ‘Dragon’ Vidal, manager of the old Team VeryGames, without whom the 2008-2009 season would probably have been more difficult. A new website will come soon. So stay tuned to:

The new VeryGames are now:

Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans
Floran "crZ" Thoumelin
Ludovic "Shokkk" Martin
Vincent "EMSTQD" Cervoni
Loïc "RegnaM" Peron
Mickael "spl4sh" Nguyen Van (Substitute)
