As part of an increasing involvement with the UK e-sports community the ESL announced they would be running a first UK Home Nations competition, featuring matches between England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

After sifting through the applications the ESL admin team have chosen who will be captains of their respective countries and have posted the announcement on their website.

The captains will be as follows:

England - James "PEZ" Perrott

Ireland - Senan "Menengroth" Quinn

Scotland - David "hendo" Henderson

Wales - Richard "Dr.Gonzo" Lewis

The team captains will already have been notified and will shortly be assigned control of their respective teams. They will be responsible for ensuring that all ESL rules are adhered to by all players, and will shortly be able to begin their squad selection process.

The format and schedule of the tournament has yet to be announced but will follow shortly. The next announcement to follow will be the Counter-Strike: 1.6 captains, which is due to be released some time tomorrow.
