The much anticipated match between mTw and fnatic in the WCG semi-finals is an unexpected disappointment as fnatic thrash the Danes across two maps.

After the recent changes within the mTw ranks, a lot of positive feedback about the two new signings and the way the team were playing was being bandied about. However despite some strong online performances of late, plus a win at SLAP#19, many felt the real acid test for the Danes would be how well they fared against the big Swedish teams.

There was disappointment expressed from all circles when fnatic failed to win their group at WCG, as most of the European spectators wanted these two great teams to meet in the final. I can only say that based on this performance, thank goodness they didn't, as what an anti-climactic final it would have been.

mTw were simply overwhelmed by an irresistable fnatic performance on de_nuke. The Danes could find no answer to the rampant Swedes and went down heavily 16-2. Inferno was better, and a strong comeback left mTw in the game at 8-7 down at half time, with both of the new players heavily involved in all that mTw did well.

Despite this, GeT-RighT was fabulous as fnatic ran away with the game in the second half, and left mTw on the end of an embarrassing scoreline. It was a strange old game, as mTw didn't really do a lot wrong, and certainly against any other team they would probably have won with this standard of performance.

I don't feel the Danes should change any personnel on the back of this, as both new players looked good and the three veterans shouldn't have to worry for their positions. This game shouldn't discourage them - they came up against a fnatic team that is almost literally on fire, and i feel that they just need to put in some hard hours gelling before the next tournament. mTw will be back, but for now who has the power to stop fnatic? My guess is nobody.
