The Upper Bracket semi final between Reason Gaming and Power Gaming

This was going to be one of the biggest games of the tournament as the 1st seed took on the 4th seed. With it being the first game of the morning, people had set their alarms to be ready to watch the reigning i-series champions take on a team who some think were going to do extremely well at the event.

Sat behind the PowerGaming players, it felt like they weren't really up for it that much. Only HudzG and WilzOO were speaking out loud properly, as the other 3 were quietly getting on with things. What was quite amusing was the GLG players had a lot more people stood behind them, with PG getting a massive 4 people sat down behind them. "Is this it? I was expecting more than 3 people" said Henry. But eventually after a bit of delay, the tournament kicked off.

The map was de_train, a map that Reason were incredibly confident about. .PhP had been reported laughing at the map choice saying how Reason with 2 AWPs were just unbeatable. This certainly showed in the pistol round (after winning the knife and choosing to go CT), as Reason picked it up in comfortable fashion. Power Gaming looked like they had spent a lot of time planning elaborate smokes and flashes, but they just didn't seem to pay off. They were heading into the key areas one at a time, trying to get people to go on their own to fake it, but they were just getting picked off.

Reason were looking unbelievable with .PhP and Guardian, or as he had renamed, Georginio. After winning both the pistol and the first gun round, things were looking very smooth for the Reason players. They were just untouchable, always getting the first pick and always managing to utilise it. WilzOOO was getting the kills at times, especially as he came out of main to outside, but he kept on getting flanked. Reason were very quick to rotate, and were able to work out fakes incredibly well.

"They knew exactly what we were doing all the time" chirped the Power Gaming players. This wasn't an accusation that they were wall hacking, but rather that they were adjusting to the tactics very well and could work out what they were doing. This continued right up to the 9th round, where Power Gaming finally got themselves a round, getting some good picks and utilising them. However, they couldn't continue this into the next round, and Reason were able to see out the rest of the map winning 14-1.

The game was all over. There was no way they were going to be able to get a 15-0 against this Reason team. They were on fire, and were looking unstoppable. But in the pistol, Power Gaming put up a good fight, getting it down to a 3on1. pR, who had been had a massive game with his rifle, pulled it back to a 1on1 getting the bomb down with only release left. But pR couldn't determine the difference between a fake and an actual defuse, choosing to stay behind cover as re1ease defused the bomb.

Could this be the chance for Power Gaming to pull it back? They had the guns, but Reason chose to buy Deagles and an AK for pR. This caught the Power Gaming players off guard and consequentially ripped the Power Gaming players apart. Power Gaming were back to no money, and the next round was inevitable. Reason walked away with a very comfortable 16-2 victory.
