They are a team that has been around for some time, under one guise or another, and they have enjoyed their share of highs and lows. Even recently they beat Reason Gaming in an online qualifier for the ESL Major Series, only to fall at the next - considerably easier - hurdle. Being a Dutch team living in the fnatic shadow life is never dull.
They have recently been playing under the name CBA while looking for a solid organisation, one that can assist them in getting to European LAN events to show they are a competitive entity in their own right. They have since announced they will be moving to the Mesmerize CyberSports Association, otherwise known as MCA, in a potentially confusing switch of acronyms.
it is a move that will benefit both parties, Mesmerize of course picking up one of the few genuine contenders in the upcoming BeneLux EPS season, and the former CBA team now having a platform on which to build a reputation upon.
Team Captain, Rutger "ylSs" Smeding told the MCA website:
We are very pleased to represent this team within our organization. We will try to bring more competition to the Benelux, fnatic in particular. We will also represent ourselves at as many LAN's throughout Europe as possible and we hope to get some good results in between other European topteams.
Robin "caveman" Snip also had the following to say:
It feels really good to finally have a new home! We have had numerous offers but we felt MCA was the best choice for us. We have been preparing for about a month to go and live that moment has finally come! However due to brains' decision to quit gaming the moment he will start at his new school, early January, we will be looking to rebuild our team after the EPS finals. The core will still be the same of course. More news on that after the EPS!
