It was approximately seven months ago that the news broke about the ESWC's parent company filing for bankruptcy. It was seen by many as a huge blow to the progression and development of e-sports.

In August the ESWC brand was purchased by the DIP Organisation and it seems that once again we will see ESWC events hosted around the globe. The first that has been announced will be at the popular theme park Disneyland Paris, France.

The event is scheduled to take place between June 30th and July 4th and will feature competitions across eight games - Counter-Strike 1.6 male and female, Warcraft 3, Need For Speed: Shift, Trackmania, Virtual Tennis, FIFA 2010 and Street Fighter 4. The total prize fund across all disciplines is $200,000 and competitors will be housed in the theme park during the length of the event.

The qualifiers for the event will begin in January and it has been reported that the aim is to acquire representatives from thirty-two different countries in total. Cadred will bring you more updates regarding the competition as and when we have them.
