AGAiN Win 2nd WCG Title Two times winners of ESWC and previous winners, with the same line up no less, of the World Cyber Games. In 2009, they added another WCG title to arguably claim "Best CS team of all time" |
![]() |
The Return of Cooller There are many players who duel, there are many who come and go and many return to fight another day, but the return of the Russian legend in 2009 didn't quiet go to plan, but it was great seeing him play again. |
![]() |
Get Right's demolition of mTw at WCG If there is a half of counter strike to show young, aspiring esports stars, then the second half of Inferno at WCG Finals from Get_Right should be used. It was as breathtaking as it was flawless as he ran over mTw almost single handedly with a 4 man two rounds in a row and then followed those up with 2 more rounds of hat-tricks to win fnatic the game. |
![]() |
Av3k Wins Dreamhack Some could argue that Rapha doing the treble in Quake Live in 2009 was the real esports moment of the year, but he is now expected to win, this young Pole certainly wasn't, coming from the high seed pool where 8 others were ranked above him. Clearly he had trained hard and took a deserved 1st place. |
![]() |
Infi Wins WCG In His Home Country Nowhere else in 2009 was quite like China for WCG. The stage was set, 10,000 adoring Chinese people packed in to the large hall in Chengdu to witness the final of finals in Warcraft 3. For some, it was a surprise that FLY lost, but at least there was another Chinese player waiting to take the crown and Infi took his biggest prize yet. |
