Team Alternate have continued their rise to the top of the German scene by picking up a win in the fifteenth season of Germany's premier CS:S competition.

For the team it is their first EPS title win since season 12 and it shows that the gambles they took with their roster changes were the right decisions to make long term.

They beat a hoorai.xilence team that were never really in the game, wilting on de_inferno and losing the first half of de_dust 13 - 2. Only a "too little too late" fightback kept the scoreline respectable, but it was always a matter of time before Team Alternate were going to emerge victorious.

En route to the final they also beat arch-rivals mTw in a similarly convincing fashion, their fourth win in a row over the team, perhaps proving that there has been a significant power shift in the German scene.

Elsewhere Team Thermaltake, who were league leaders for a large part of the season, came in fourth after two hugely disappointing performances that didn't reflect some of their achievements in the league stage at all. They lost to Hoorai initially, then to mTw in the third place play-off, and in truth never really looked at the races.

We can now look forward to the inevitable shuffle in the German scene as the teams gear themselves for the next season. Certainly, on this showing they will have some work to do if they are to catch Team Alternate. For the winners they cannot dwell on glory too long as they will be in action in the newly started ESEA season.
