EMS Playoffs Round-up
@ ESL Major Series channel

End in sight for EMS Playoffs

After a brief period of festive hibernation the fifth Team Fortress 2 ESL Major Series is back on your screens. The competition is hotting up even in the absence of European powerhouse, Team Dignitas, due to some stringent rule enforcement from ESL.

Things have kicked off already in dramatic style with Blight Gaming securing their place in the lower bracket final after an intense matchup[/url] against Team Rockit earlier in the week, which went right down to the wire with a golden cap on the tiebreaker map.

Tonight sees two of the best in Europe lock horns as The Last Resort take on I Don’t Know; both teams hoping to forge a passage to the next round where Blight Gaming lie in wait. This match will be a good indicator of how TLR will fair at the upcoming Winter Assembly event next week after a period of inactivity whilst several members sampled the delights of Japan in December. This too will be the first big test for a revamped idk? roster with former 4K sharpshooter, Jaakko “Jh” Hanhivaara, coming out of retirement to bolster their chances. Last season’s form would make TLR strong favourites here but a lot has changed since then I wouldn’t be surprised if it went to three maps.

As if that wasn’t enough, I’ve only gone and saved the best ‘til last! Two titans of TF2 go head to head this Tuesday with TCM-Gaming taking on Power Gaming as they seek to redress the disappointment of the i38 Finals, where they narrowly lost out to Power Gaming as Team YoYoTech. Both teams will most likely meet again next week in the Winter Assembly semi-finals if the bookies get their way, so this is a match not to be missed. Can the underperforming Power Gaming pull one out of the bag to snatch victory from the indomitable TCM-Gaming? It’s too close to call, tune in to Pwange.TV’s live coverage on Tuesday with the legendary Leonardo “leogeo2” Gonzalez and witness the best TF2 has to offer.

You can find all the matches are listed in the match ticker with STVs to be updated as they are announced.
