The upcoming travels of Archaic eSports seem to have captured the imagination of a curious CS:S community. Today they have announced that one of their key players will not be travelling with them.
Azad "topguN" Orami formerly of CGS franchise Sydney Underground will not be making the journey across the waters, leaving the team to try and find a suitable replacement at short notice.
After weighing up their options the team has decided it will be more convenient if they add someone from Europe to the roster for the duration of their tour and they have agreed to a temporary inclusion of Milan "xertion" Veeger from the recently retired fnatic team. Milan is no stranger to their captain or manager having competed against them during his time at Berlin Allianz, also of the CGS. Milan will be traveling out to Australia to work with the team shortly.
Milan said the following on the Archaic eSports website:
Well hello again! This is probably the shortest break from gaming anyone ever had. I am still in a bit of a shock. See one week ago I went on steam and Scott started talking to me. He asked if I'd quit competitive gaming permanently and I answered yes. Well that was going to change in a split second. He asked if I had any interest in coming to Australia to fill in as their 5th. I Actually thought he was joking at first. The next day I went on vent to introduce myself and within 3 hours it was 100% confirmed that I'd be going to Australia. Luckily I have a cool boss so I can continue to do some work while I'm in Australia. Anyway it's still a bit hard to believe but February the 7th I will set foot on Australian soil. I'm really looking forward to my time in Australia and our Eurotrip from march till the end of April. I want to thank Craig "Pandan" Warren. He did a great job in arranging everything so smoothly in such short notice. I also want to thank Scott "Boomser" Bednarski for helping me out with everything and I'm looking forward to see him again. Make sure you cheer for us!
Team Captain Scott "Boomser" Bednarski explained the situation:
It really saddens me about Azad's situation as I have played with Australia topguN for the majority of my Counter-Strike:Source career. I know Azad's gameplay inside and out and personally, I see him as a great friend - so losing him not only personally but as a team is really hard on us. The announcement of xertion has brought back hope within the team and myself especially as the team is lacking some experience. Xertion may well be a key to helping bring back the spirit in the Archaic side. Netherlands Xertion is a good personal friend from the CGS who I ended up spending a lot of time with in Los Angeles and I always wanted to know what it would be like to play with him professionally. I can't wait to start our bootcamp and catch up on old times with the boys. We are still very optimistic in what we can achieve, with the likes of Xertion giving us that much needed experience.
Archaic eSports will be:

Scott
"Boomser" Bednarski

Luke
"Havoc" Payton

Steve
"stv" Cropper

Zeke
"Zeke" Beaven

Milan
"xertion" Veeger
