As people wait to see which way the Counter-Strike scene swings in the aftermath of the CSPromod release the first CS:S team has come out and said they will be exclusively playing CSPromod through the beta development.

The Swedish team from Blight Gaming will now be known as "Gänget" meaning "The Gang" in Swedish, and have said they will be committing their time to supporting and learning the new version of the game. They will still remain part of the Blight organisation, whom they were representing in CS:S competition.

In addition to this announcement they have also announced their new fifth, the team requiring a replacement since Erik "HaZ" Holm moved to Dignitas. Their new fifth will be Markus "ferus" Stenmark, heralding his return to competitive gaming after a prolonged period of absence.

The team issued the following statement to Cadred.org:

Someone needs to take the first step to force some kind of evolution, we are not saying that it's us but something needs to happen. We are all very tired of bad tournaments and the random factor that is in CSS , so if promod wasn't released we would probably have all quit the game.

People thought we folded, but deep down beneath the surface we were working really hard to get a new player that would fit in with us, and you could guess how happy we are to see ferus back in action.

We are ready for a change, the question is however.. Are you?
