Power Gaming swoop for Finnish sextet, illegal, to replace void in their TF2 roster

Ten days have passed since Power Gaming’s Team Fortress 2 squad decided to call it a day. The community has mourned their loss, but now it’s time to move on. The rumour mills have been hard at work, with every crackpot and their mother theorising who could fill their illustrious boots.

Well OK, maybe there was only one serious contender, or two if you believe the hype! The dog in the street knew that illegal joining Power was an inevitability, but they were all keeping tight lipped until tonight when a flurry of IRC nick changes, just before their ESH match, signalled the rejuvenation of TF2 at Power Gaming.

Statement from Power Gaming's Luke Cotton:

"When we learned that our former team had decided to stop playing, we knew that we wanted to continue to support TF2 and we immediately knew who we wanted to replace them. Illegal have been proving that they are one of the best teams for the past few months and were unlucky not to win at Assembly. We already know hymzi well from his time with us previously and are looking forward to working with the rest of the team - they'll be looking to go one better at i39!"

Unfortunately, new org fever wasn’t enough to guide them to victory tonight, but you can guarantee they will be back tomorrow hungrier than ever. This writer looks forward to seeing them represent the green and white at i39 in April. Be there or be square.
