The CS:S final between the 2 best teams in the Esports Heaven: Sapphire Challenge was held last night.

The cup began with 128 teams and to reach to the final the two had to win all six of their elimination bracket matches. The two teams who succesfully managed to do that were Reason Gaming and Excello.

Fragmasters Toxic, The Imperial, Excello, Reason Gaming and fm! Sapphire were just some of the big names taking part in the cup. Reason have been famous for always failing to perform in online competition, but then managed to fight their way through some decent opposition including Sapphire and Plan-B. Excello's route to the final wasn't much easier as they had to see off the Imperial in one of the best matches of the tournament.

The two teams played each other in a BO3 (best Of Three) match in the final. The first two maps were de_train and de_nuke, both Reason Gaming and Excello took a map each meaning a 3rd map had to be played on de_tuscan. Ladislav 'GuardiaN' Kovacs was outstanding on the final map as he helped his team to a convincing 16-8 win. Reason Gaming take the cash as they see a return to form online.
