A few days ago we reported that Team Dignitas would be looking to give an opportunity in the third season of EPS for an up and coming team in the UK scene. Today they have made their selection.

Although the criteria used for selection wasn't publicly revealed, the general manager of Team Dignitas, Michael "ODEE" O'Dell, did say that he wanted to see something special from each of the applicants. Whatever he was looking for he seems to have found it in AMDERS, a team that punched above their weight at the previous i-series and had been in the ESL Amateur Series.

The former AMDERS team will now find themselves up against the best teams in the UK and under the Dignitas name. It isn't clear if this is an opportunity for better things should they deliver the goods in terms of results, or whether it is solely for the length of the season while Team Dignitas reassess their CS:S options. The announcement was made on the Team Dignitas website and was brief and direct to the point.

It said:

As announced earlier Team Dignitas has been looking for a Counter-Strike: Source lineup to represent us in the ESL Pro series UK as we still had a ticket from last season. We are happy to announce that our search is over and we believe to have found the perfect candidates to represent us in Team AMDERS. The UK lineup attended i38 where they managed to come second in their group and place 9-12th overall.

As we stated we were looking for a team who have not yet had the opportunity to show what they are worth and so we are confident that Team AMDERS will do their best to show their potential at the upcoming EPS Season.
