ETF2L: Season 7 Week 4 Round-up
@ ETF2L channel

We delve deep in to Division 1 and ask the indigenious populace what they think might happen in Week 4 of ETF2L’s seventh season

Egad man! It’s Week 5 already and I haven’t even banged out the Week 4 Round-up yet, “Get back to work you lazy, potato-munching bastard!” you jeer.

Ironically, the slack timetabling in Division 1 that I harp on about every week is my saving grace this week. None of the matches have been played yet, although it is encouraging to see that they have all been scheduled already, and with wildcards been thrown out willy-nilly over the last month the programme should become less changeable, lest ye suffer the dreaded forfeit.

Two thirds of the games from the previous three weeks have actually been played now as teams take advantage of a lull in the Esports Heaven tournament onslaught to dust off their overdue fixtures. So we may soon be approaching some sort of mysterious scheduling phase equilibrium where there are fewer games to be played in arrears than there are new ones to be arranged in a given week, although I’m pretty sure that is one of the seven signs of the apocalypse.

Week 4 regurgitates two maps previously seen in Season 7, with Turbine and Gullywash entering our crosshairs once more. Both maps have produced some incredibly close games in recent weeks, with The Last Resort falling foul of Capture The Flag’s bizarre overtime rules against Power Gaming on Turbine, and Team Dignitas denying What Women Want three points with a last gasp push on Gullywash just last night. So by my flawless reckoning this will be the greatest week of ETF2L Division 1 matches ever!

In what is fast becoming the highlight of my week I begged, buggered and bribed five Division 1 luminaries to elucidate you with their blinding insights.

The Last Resort's Tim "GeaR" Glöckler thinks...

"Blight made some roster changes in the past few weeks, so I don't know how strong they are and how they perform compared to other Division 1 teams. Empire also didn't seem too strong in our ETF2L match against them. I really have no clue who could win Turbine or Gullywash, but I think the match will end in a draw."

Blight Gaming's Miku "perry" Airaksinen thinks...

"I don't know how well FB have played lately, I don't know much about the Frogs either but from what I hear, FB may be the slightly better team, hence them winning the game, both maps."

I Don't Know?'s Arvin "cube" K thinks...

"It is really hard to predict which team will take it since both teams haven't played to their highest standard lately. I expect turbine to be tied but pwr will emerge victorious, providing hymzi delivers his A game. Dignitas will win Gullywash by one cap margin, because Power's medic will fail a crucial uber, just like in last season's finale. According to cadred it's going to be a clash between Europe's 2nd and 3rd best teams, let's hope the game will live up to expectations."

Team Dignitas' Jukka "Rebeli" Kauppinen thinks...

"For Turbine, I'm betting TCM to win the game slightly because of their slow and defensive play style which suites the map. As for Gullywash, based on their performance as of late, both teams have a good change winning this map. It's basically a coin toss in my opinion. Anyways I'm looking forward to this tight match."

Power Gaming's Henry "fluffy" Rantanen thinks...

"Totally expecting idk? to take full points here, even though TLR has got some good results lately on both Gullywash and Turbine. TLR might surprise, but seeing how Extremer and the scouts play, I really doubt that. Thank you, makin some eggs nau :>"
