Day two of the Esports Heaven Sapphire Challenge promises some great matchups tonight as the seeds converge, but with all the top teams taking part, what games should you be watching?

Forgetting the class war between high and low skill teams and our erectile dysfunction-like inability to fill the 128 slots - and I'm sure that's something the admins will address for the next event - let us bask in what makes the ESH tournaments great for the TF2 community: never before have we had the opportunity to watch the top teams do battle on a near daily basis.

Sure, there may be some dissenters having minor moans about too many maps, too many competitions and having to spend way more time with hormonal teammates than family, significant other and closest friends combined, but there's no such thing as too much TF2, right?

There's only one legitimate beef you can have with all these games. Considering everyone is playing at the same time, how on earth are you supposed to know who to watch and what to look out for? Well, that's what I'm here for, comrade.

Games to watch

Post-match note: thank the lord that we ran into techical difficulties setting up the relay for this as Broder played a man down in this 5v6 worst 30 minutes of TF2 ever. The curse of being picked as a game to watch continues!

Not Blight Gaming have had a rough couple of months after they posted an unreasonably high fifth place on our January Top Ten. I genuinely thought that their new medic aqcuisition, Harri "Depch" Nissinen, would settle the team down to winning ways, but all they've done recently is lose games and leave their MGO.

Following their loss to FakkelBrigade yesterday in ETF2L (a spirited 2-4 Granary followed by a smackdown 1-6 Gullywash), a game like this feels like a must-win for Not Blight. That 0-0-6 record on ETF2L, albeit through a very difficult schedule, combined with their 0-0-2 in ESL versus teams they should be easily beating, is starting to look dangerously foldy.

Not Blight will need strong performances from Miku "perry" Airaksinen at scout/utility and Oskar "m0re" Rönnbacka at demoman tonight. They're talented enough to win this, but Broder will no doubt be riding high after splitting two ESL maps against Power Gaming last night. It'll be game over for Not Blight if Broder take an early lead.

Duncan "dunc" Wraight is reportedly unhappy with his team after enduring more than 40 deaths over two maps in their ESL date with FakkelBrigade a couple of evenings ago. So it's impossible to know what version of www we'll see tonight.

I do know this, though: www have it in them to be an elite team. Their work on Badlands against Broder earlier this week, despite the close 3-1 scoreline, was majestic. I rarely see teams play CP2 and CP3 counter-attacking that intelligently. The same goes for their ETF2L Gullywash 2-2 and 3-3 draws against TCM-Gaming and Dignitas which could have been wins if not for last minute mistakes.

I Don't Know? are in the same boat, but for different reasons. That seemingly huge roster and scout/soldier rotations means that you never know who you're going to be playing against. Let's hope we get to see Andrew "wai" Waite make an appearance at soldier tonight after Mika "Night" Rautiainen's unconvincing play against The Last Resort yesterday in ETF2L. Idk? can't afford to play passively tonight.

Two inconsistent teams battling for consistency. Two teams on the edge of the elite bubble trying to work their way in. It should be a good one.

Dignitas are playing short-handed without soldier ace Erik "appe" Karlsson, so they might struggle matching up against the Power soldier duo of Jani "hocz" Laakkonenon and Olli "olliii" Hiltunen on Granary middle.

Even though they've continued to be quiet over the last month, no team can expect to topple Dignitas without executing properly and making efficient use of their offenses, so Power will have to be careful about controlling both the pace of the game and their own tempers if things start to go wrong.

Both teams have recent ETF2L wins on Granary, Power with a big 7-3 victory against I Don't Know? and Dignitas won 5-3 against what women want. Whoever wins this tonight gets to meet (probably) TCM-Gaming in the Day 3 final for the €500.
