The Outpost On Fire 3 event in 2009 gathered Call of Duty 4, Counter-Strike: Source and Call of Duty 2 gamers together. For 2010 the events big brother has returned. It's time for the Antwerp Esports Festival once again!

The first Antwerp Esports Festival was held in 2008 and featured Call of Duty 4 and FIFA and was held in the Hilton Hotel in the heart of Antwerp. It was created as a larger project to replace the Outpost On Fire events, however the economic climate in 2009 meant it was not possible to hold one in 2009.

Now the event is back and will feature the same games as OOF3 minus Call of Duty 2. This means both Call of Duty 4 and Counter-Strike: Source will both feature, with Enemy Territory and Quake Live appearances also possible.

Prize pots will be trigger based like the recent CIC7 event for Call of Duty 4, ranging from a guaranteed €4,000 to a possible €10,000 or more depending on the amount of teams and any extra sponsors. This will most likely draw attention from all major European teams in both games.

The AEF is moving to a new location this year due to the old venue not being an option. Stuurboord, a renovated harbour hanger in the docks will be the venue this time round. Situated right in the centre of Antwerp, a purpose built multifunction event room with an excellent bar as the centre piece with fantastic views over the city and the river Schelde.

The event will take place in the last week of July, this means you need to keep the 30th and 31st of July, and the 1st of August free!
