compLexity Release Counter-Strike Team
@ Scene news channel

While compLexity will always remain one of the biggest names in worldwide Counter-Strike, today they find themselves without a squad after deciding to release their current batch of players.

Although still performing well domestically the team has not followed up on the promise they showed with their third place finish at DreamHack and most recently they failed to get out the groups in the Intel Extreme Masters World Finals.

It isn't clear who will be the replacements for this current crop of players, but it is almost certain that they will pick someone up shortly. They have even suggested that it could be a European team that they bring in.

The statement on their website read:

Today, The Syndicate regretfully announces that we have decided to release our Counter-Strike squad effective immediately.

Over the past year the squad has been a top contender in the North American scene placing 1st and 2nd at ESEA finals and 3rd at Dreamhack. However, recent performances, dedication and a lack of involvement and interaction with the coL Community have lead to this decision.

Jason Lake added:

It’s no secret that we’ve struggled to find a consistent roster over the past 12 months,” said Jason Lake, CEO of compLexity Gaming. “Despite the fact that we experienced some success, internal issues always seemed to derail the squad’s momentum. All of the players are great people who are very skilled at the game, but the championship passion and chemistry that defines the compLexity name has eluded us. We are currently evaluating the scene and are considering both American and European options to replace the current roster. We wish the players the very best with everything, both in and out of game.

compLexity were:

Andrew "Irukandji" Timmerman
Derek "dboorN" Boorn
Derrick "Impulsive" Truong
Ryan "NineSpot" Bell
Thomas "thoMz" Garcia
