We're now 5 weeks into the 16th season of the German EPS and it's beginning to look a lot like last season.

As with the early stages of last season, and the season before, team Thermaltake have shot off to an early lead in the table, winning all 4 of their matches. In the past 2 seasons the team have been unable to keep up that level of performance for the duration of the season, falling short in the big games when it mattered. However with the recent changes made to the team they may manage to do that this season. Coming in just behind them are team Alternate and mTw who have both had good starts to the season, a surprising 4th place for new boys Team42 who seem to be flying since they made it into the EPS.

A team who have been under performing so far this year are WILD LIONS, having joined the organisation following the closure of the Hoorai.Xilence org they have struggled to replicate the form that took them to second place at last seasons finals. A 16-3 loss to Snogard Dragons just yesterday goes to show that the recent organisation troubles seem to be knocking this team off their stride a touch. In the other half of the table it seems like last years whipping boys bomk haven't changed much as they have yet to pick up a point, losing to some teams who they would be considered better than.

This week is likely to throw up some good matches, with the pick of the bunch being this fridays Intel Friday Night Game. Team Alternate, last seasons champions take on team Thermaltake in a top of the table clash, with the winner taking home 3 points as well as a huge psychological edge over their opponents both teams will be going all out, with the added bonus of it being at LAN. It will also prove to be a decent warm up for team Alternate ahead of their trip to the Copenhagen Games in the coming weeks.
