March's Cadred CoD4 Top 10
@ Spotlights channel

The Call of Duty 4 Official European Top 10

With 5 expert panelists and votes from 10 top teams, the top 10 aims to bring you an accurate idea on the current top 10 in Europe.

Unfortunately both Power Gaming and mTw declined to vote so we replaced them with votes from 2 other teams.

The points system remains simple: a first place vote earns that team 10 points, 9 points are awarded for second place, and so on.

On page two you can read who the panel members are, and see their thoughts and opinions on this month's rankings.

Tom "DuRuS" Nevill

Tom has been writing about eSports in some shape or form for over 2 years now, and has recently become the Coverage Manager at Cadred.

Having previously been the Editor-in-Chief of ClanBase, he has a lot of experience with online and offline journalism. Now he is focusing his attention on the CoD scene as well as managing all Cadred's Coverage.

Having been to most of the recent events, he is known amongst the CoD4 and CS:S scenes quite well.

"This month has changed quite a bit in terms of the top 10. CiC7 definitely changed a lot, showing that fnatic are still the best team around. Reason proved my predictions wrong and deserve their 2nd place.

I rated the Hungarian side infinity skills highly as well as the current infused team. However they aren't quite as good as Power who showed they could replicate their online form at an event.

Dignitas are down a bit now after their poor performance at CiC7 but should still be able to bounce back. I have however, removed mTw from my list as they showed they simply couldn't perform under pressure at an event."

Graham "messioso" Pitt

Graham has been around the Call of Duty scene since it's very birth. He first began making progress in the scene as a ClanBase supervisor back in 2006 and has since worked for the CGS, ESEA, ESH and mainly the ESL, where he has run the UK ESL Pro Series, aswell as working on the ENC and EMS in recent months.

He has since joined the Cadred team to provide even more coverage of CoD4 online and offline and to provide continued support for the community.

"March's Top 10 will show alot of change from Februarys after CIC7 and the start of the Vita Nova league. Fnatic take the top spot again and rightfully so after CIC7. Likewise Reason take #2 after taking one of the hardest routes to a final conceivable. Power Gaming slot in at 3rd to mirror the top 3 at CIC7.

After this it gets difficult, but Infinity Skills take my 4th spot after a great show at CIC7 and proving many people, including myself, very, very wrong. Following that I have H2k, SPEEDLINK and YoYoTech who all did well at CIC7 and have looked strong online. Dignitas come in at 7th after a disappointing CIC7, but then any team facing either Reason or Fnatic in the first knockout stage was in trouble. Infused take 9th spot after a great CIC7 for them and they will move up the rankings quickly if they can do well in the Vita Nova league and at SEC. Corgz take up the 10th spot after a good CIC7, beating Dignitas and pushing Fnatic to the end. "

Camiel "Jetset" Rietbergen

Jetset, a 22 year old Dutch student currently in his final year of his bachelor studies, has been part of one of the biggest CoD portals since early 2005.

As the current director of content for Tek-9, he has put hours of time and effort into the CoD scene, giving it the attention it needed.

As one of the most highly respected journalists in the CoD scene, he certainly knows who the top teams are.

"Well, where to start. My ranking changed significantly compared to last month, mainly because of the Crossfire Intel Challenge 7 event. fnatic top my ranking once again and really deserve to be number one. Team Dignitas have dropped a few spots due to their 9-16th place finish at CIC7, while Reason Gaming see their impressive performance rewarded with a second place finish.

Three new teams make their appearance in my March rankings, iNFiNiTY*SKiLLS at number six for obvious reasons, and Team Infused and corgz at number nine and ten, respectively."

Will "wizinium" Hunter

Will is a 19 year old student who is currently completing a Business Studies and Accounting Degree in Northern Ireland and has been involved in the COD scene since the release of COD2.

He is currently Community Manager over at TEK9 Networks, Project Manager for the Vita Nova and Head Admin Of Multiplay COD4 Pickup and quite recently has been picked up as a Esports Heaven COD4 Admin hosting numerous One Night Wonder Cups.

"An easier top 10 eu this month with both CiC7 results and the Enemydown League powered by Vita Nova to use. I have placed fnatic first after their victory at CiC7 even tho they haven't signed up to the ED league they are worthy of the #1 spot for this month. Reason have moved up my top10 for this month after reaching the final at CiC7 and Power Gaming remain stationary. I have placed infinity skills up my top10 for this month after a solid LAN performance and are currently doing well in the ED league.

mTw have moved out of the top10 after a disappointing CiC7 and have been replaced by the new infused team who surprised everyone at CiC7 but are not as doing as well online as they could be. The scene is in a great at the minute and any team in that top10 could overtake any other team and any given time. It will be interesting what happens this month!"

Richard Lewis

Richard comes from a journalistic background and has covered e-sports in print, on radio and television having worked for such organisations as GotFrag and CGS. He is the current content manager of Cadred where he contributes a weekly e-sports column.

He now concentrates on writing and management. Over the years he worked for Zboard, xciteuk, Infused and 4kings. These days he chooses to solely focus on his writing within the gaming industry.

"Although I'm not a regular CoD4 community member I do like to keep an eye on the happenings of the game. Fnatic have certainly impressed after the pickup of Zenith and winning CIC7, it's a shame they are not playing in the Vita Nova league. The rest of my Top 4 follows the same pattern as the CIC7 rankings as that to me is the main event to rank on for March.

From then on it's a real mixed bunch, with Dignitas' low rank at CIC7 really shaking up the rankings. The usual contenders of SPEEDLINK, YoYoTech, H2k alongisde them take up the next 4 spots. Then we have two more new comers in two teams who impressed greatly at CIC7 in Infused and corgz"

The Top 10 will continue at the end of March with another version of the top 10.
