The newest edition of the popular online cup for Call of Duty, CODQCUP JAN08, has reached it's end after a really exciting final between The6Devils and Tek-9, which t6d eventually won.

It's finally the time for CODQCUP JAN08 finals. The cup has been totally great, TGBF and QUADV have featured many great matches this time, and the cup has been full of unexpected surprices.

Now that the clans participating in the January edition of CODQCUP have reached the playoffs, I decided to had a little chat with Bob "supreme" Janssen who's team, Serious Gaming, has been able to play through two group stages without losing a single match.

CODQCUP is getting closer to it's end and the playoffs are now really close. The single elimination round #2 was played today and now the playoff tree is ready. The Upperbracket round 1 consists of 16 matches, 16 teams that continued straight from groupstage #2 playing against the 16 teams that passed the single elimination round 2. The Playoffs will be played with Double-Elimination method.

Now that the CODQCUP has reached the end of Groupstage#2, its time to prepare for the single elimination round #2. Winner of each group continued straight to playoffs and the numbers 2 and 3 from each group will have to go through this single elimination round of 32 teams to proceed to the playoffs. This means there will be 32 teams in the playoffs competiting for the prizes.

Now that we have the second single elimination round behind us, we can start looking at the upcoming second group stage which will start around 19 CET on 16th January.

Now that we have managed to get through the first group stage in CODQCUP, it is time for the group's 2nd and 3rd best teams to take on each other in a single elimination match.

Yesterday was the day for deciding with team from 192 will get into the tournament and even if the admins had gathered around 30 back-up teams, there were still few default wins as the opponent didn't show up or didn't have the necessary players.

One of the biggest online tournaments for CoD series is here once again, but this time the game played is the number four. This long waited tournament with the total of 256 teams, will kick off on Thursday, 10th January.

The successfull codQcup by callofduty.se is now organising the first CoD4 cup with 256 teams! The number of teams has been increased many times as the cup got really popular and the organisers wanted to allow as many teams as possible.
